This SkyWatcher Newton QUATTRO 150/600 f4 is a compact 150mm diameter and 600mm focal length telescope great for astrophotography, thanks to the fast f/4 focal ratio and to the compatibility with the very good f/4 optional coma corrector. Thanks to its compact size and weight of only 7 kg, it can also be used with too large and expensive mounts. This instrument allows you to record the weakest details of deep-sky objects like galaxies, nebulae and star clusters but it can also be used for visual application. In fact, thanks to the included SESTO SENSO, if you want to use it to observe the objects in the sky you can precisely control the focuser position without touching the telescope or even without a computer thanks to the included Virtual HandPad. If you want to connect to a computer or the EAGLE, you can control the focuser with the included PLAY software. It includes 50,8mm Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro reduction, SESTO SENSO robotic focusing motor, coma corrector, 6x30 optical finder, support rings with Vixen type dovetail bar.

SESTO SENSO 3: the most advanced robotic focusing motor!
This special version of the SkyWatcher Newton QUATTRO 150/600 f4 adds SESTO SENSO 3 — our most advanced robotic focusing motor for rack-and-pinion or Crayford-style focusers, combining high precision, flexibility, and ease of use in a compact Made in Italy design. Connect it to the USB-C port of your EAGLE or Windows® computer to electronically control focus while still allowing you to manually move the focuser without losing position, thanks to the integrated encoder with Automatic Position Recovery. If you prefer wireless operation, you can control it from any smartphone or tablet through the built-in WiFi using the Virtual HandPad interface. The new Self Centering Clamp 2 (SCC2) allows fast and precise installation on many focusers without the need for external brackets or adapters. With its 0.7 micron per step resolution, SESTO SENSO 3 provides extremely accurate and vibration-free focusing — perfect for both visual observation and astrophotography. You can also expand SESTO SENSO 3’s capabilities by adding the ARCO robotic camera rotator, for a fully motorized imaging setup.

Thanks to the use of SESTO SENSO, you can use the SkyWatcher Newton QUATTRO 150/600 f4 both for visual use (with the SESTO SENSO Virtual Hand Pad you can move the focuser even without a computer and without touching the focuser, this way avoiding any flexure) and for astrophotography (by connecting SESTO SENSO to the EAGLE or an external Windows computer you can control cameras and accessories for the image capture). Thanks to the included coma corrector, inserted in the focuser in front of the camera, you can correct coma (the effect that leads to the stretching of the stars towards the edge of the field) without reducing the telescope focal length. This way you can use the SkyWatcher Newton QUATTRO 150/600 f4 in astrophotography even with cameras equipped with large sensors, up to FullFrame.
