The Celestron CPC Deluxe HD powered by PrimaLuceLab is a family of complete telescope systems designed for visual observing and astrophotography, from high resolution planetary to deep-sky imaging. Each model combines a Celestron CPC Deluxe HD aplanatic Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with EdgeHD optics on a computerized alt-azimuth fork mount (no polar alignment required) with PrimaLuceLab motorized focusing, ARCO field de-rotation for long-exposure deep-sky imaging, and PLAY software for unified control. Three aperture sizes are available:
- The 8" (203mm) is the most compact and portable model, light enough for one person to set up alone, our recommended choice for astronomers who want to take their telescope anywhere.
- The 9.25" (235mm) offers the best balance of performance and portability, with 34% more light than the 8" and an optical design known for exceptionally high contrast, ideal for astrophotographers who want superior results without giving up mobility.
- The 11" (280mm) delivers maximum optical performance with an aperture comparable to small observatory telescopes, the choice for astronomers who prioritize resolving power above all else and have a fixed or semi-permanent setup location.
Each telescope is configured through a Base Kit (which adds the PrimaLuceLab focusing solution, ARCO, OnAxisLock2, and PLAY software control) and can be expanded with the optional EAGLE Expansion Kit for onboard computer control, autoguiding, and remote operation. Cameras are not included in any configuration, giving you the freedom to choose the camera that best fits your imaging goals.
