The M-Zero was designed to revolutionize the world of itinerant astronomy. Many mounts in one

The M-Zero is many mounts in one: standard equatorial for loner telescopes, equatorial without meridian flip for compact and altazimuth optics for astronomical use: all with only 10 kg of total weight (including the T-Pod 90 tripod) and 8 kg of load capacity, which can be placed in a medium-sized trolley for safe transport even by plane.

Dual telescope setup

Thanks to the particular installation system, it is possible to set a second telescope in parallel on the opposite side of the declination. In this configuration it is possible to use many different optics starting from compact refractors (weighing about 4-5 kg) up to a double setup with a total weight of 12-13 kg, having high performances that eliminate the need for a larger mount.

StarGO control computer

The combination of Avalon's StarGO computer, with several exclusive functions, the innovative Fast-Reverse technology (belt drive system) and the high-quality construction allows high-level performance and long-exposure autoguided astrophotography, without time limits, even with telescopes with focal length up to 2m (8 "SCT & 8" RC). The GoTo StarGO system has been completely designed and manufactured by Avalon to meet all needs, from the beginner to the professional photographer.

No maintenance requested

Practically zero maintenance, long-lasting materials and ability to easily update the StarGO firmware and software allow the M-Zero to be always ready for use, updated, competitive and extremely reliable!

Portability

M-Zero mount can be balanced, in most cases, with a counterweight of less than 1 kg thanks to the possibility of placing the Declination arm in different positions with respect to the Right Ascension one. The M-Zero and T-POD 90, requiring limited space, can be easily placed inside a medium-sized bag in a convenient configuration even for those traveling by plane.

Polar alignment

Polar alignment is performed by positioning the appropriate polar scope on the Right Ascension body which can be rotated to the upper position for easier alignment. The standard polar alignment kit includes the polar scope, the adapter for connection to the mount, the illuminator with red LED and the connection cable to the StarGO.
