Wind sensor for SPIDER MarkII, INTREPID and OUPOST

Wind sensor for SPIDER MarkII, INTREPID and OUTPOST allows to continuously read the wind speed for safety. When connected to a SPIDER MarkII or INTREPID, if the wind speed exceeds the safety speed, the antenna is automatically moved pointing the Zenith, in a safe position, thus reducing the wind load on the antenna. When connected to an OUTPOST dome, if the wind speed exceeds the safety speed, the dome can automatically close.

The wind sensor is composed of the sensor (which is installed outside) that measures wind speed and a pole support (pole not included). The wind sensor connects directly to electronics of SPIDER MarkII, INTREPID and OUTPOST so it works independently of the control software and does not require a connection to the control room.

Wind sensor is connected to the SPIDER MarkII, INTREPID and OUTPOST with a cable that is 10 meters long, provided with the sensor.
