SkyWatcher Evostar 150 ED is the apochromatic refractor with 150mm diameter and 1200mm focal length (f/8), doublet ED lens. SkyWatcher Evostar 150 ED offers an Extra Low Dispersion lens that creates images free from chromatic aberration and with high contrast at an incredibly low price. Great performance both for visual use and astrophotography. The focal ratio, that is not too short, makes it ideal for planetary and lunar photography, where the not obstructed and large diameter lens allows great performance also when the seeing is not perfectly stable. It comes standard with a a lot of accessories: 50,8mm Crayford focuser with 31,8mm adapter and 1:10 fine focus knob, SESTO SENSO 3 robotic focusing motor, PLUS support rings and aluminum transport case.

SESTO SENSO 3: the most advanced robotic focusing motor!

This special version of the Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150 ED adds SESTO SENSO 3 — our most advanced robotic focusing motor for rack-and-pinion or Crayford-style focusers, combining high precision, flexibility, and ease of use in a compact Made in Italy design. Connect it to the USB-C port of your EAGLE or Windows® computer to electronically control focus while still allowing you to manually move the focuser without losing position, thanks to the integrated encoder with Automatic Position Recovery. If you prefer wireless operation, you can control it from any smartphone or tablet through the built-in WiFi using the Virtual HandPad interface. The new Self Centering Clamp 2 (SCC2) allows fast and precise installation on many focusers without the need for external brackets or adapters. With its 0.7 micron per step resolution, SESTO SENSO 3 provides extremely accurate and vibration-free focusing — perfect for both visual observation and astrophotography. You can also expand SESTO SENSO 3’s capabilities by adding the ARCO robotic camera rotator, for a fully motorized imaging setup.

PLUS: the best support rings for telescopes

In this kit we replace the standard rings with our PLUS rings which offer greater stability and compatibility with plates, guide rings, dovetail clamps and EAGLE to offer you maximum freedom in customizing your telescope. Indeed, all the PLUS elements have threaded holes, holes and slots suitable for connecting elements, always with maximum rigidity and comfort. Each component of the PLUS system is made of aluminum blocks that are high precision CNC machined. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation.

Thanks to the use of SESTO SENSO 3, you can use the Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150 ED both for visual (with diagonal and eyepieces) and astrophotography (with a camera). By adding EAGLE to the SkyWatcher EVOSTAR 150 ED telescope you can remotely control and power any camera, mount and accessory for astrophotography, using any of the most advanced astronomical software for Windows (you can install in the EAGLE the software you prefer) and converting your SkyWatcher EVOSTAR 150 ED into the most advanced robotic telescope.
